I really feel that the ePortfolio has been an "APP-t" means of assessment for this class. First of all, I'm so thankful that the assignments and blogs were online because I have been living out of Walmart bags and suitcases at two different hospitals off-and-on since mid-February. Spending the night every night (for 3 weeks) in a hospital chair was not exactly the most stimulating experience, but being able to think and explore a bit with the new iPad apps gave me a much-needed mental boost now and then. I regret, however, that I have needed to be out of the classroom for so long and have thus been unable to utilize the apps with real-live students. On the other hand, I now have an arsenal of ideas for next year thanks to the blogs and online searches that I've been able to do. Another plus: I can go back online this summer and review the assignments and posts when I will then (hopefully) have more time to incorporate the ideas into authentic assignments for this fall. Overall, I think the ePortfolio worked quite nicely for this class!
