As far as Prezis go, I think that this one is almost as good as Cosmo Kramer's Coffee Table Book about coffee tables...I discovered a Prezi that lists and describes the very best iPad apps for education. It's called "60 Educational Apps in 60 Minutes." Here's the link:
http://prezi.com/swceiv2g3bbt/60-educational-apps-in-60-minutes/
This Prezi can take about 20-60 minutes to view in its entirety. There are multiple screenshots, descriptions, and even some audio/video of each featured app. (Check out the embedded YouTube for an app called Sound Thingie.) Now, don't judge, but I found myself actually taking notes on this Prezi and even watched the slideshow twice. I cannot imagine how long it took the creator, Clint Stephens, to put together this Prezi, but I love having so many ideas in one place...Extra cool and quite possibly... Extra credit? :-) Check it out and see if it doesn't make you hAPPy too!
Important Disclaimer and iMovie Info: My iMovie is finally finished, and it is VERY simplistic because I am basically CLUELESS in this area. Sorry about this, but keep in mind that this is the first one I have ever done, and I just did it "old school" style with photos only. I know, it's pretty lame...but remember, I'm elderly and at least I'm trying to learn about this new-fangled and very cool stuff!
Now, some good news--The music and photos for the iMovie are very fun and upbeat, and I made the editorial decision not to ruin it with my voice; in addition, there are some remarkable young people and one extremely adorable baby girl featured in the iMovie/slideshow. Keep your eye on that little one--she's headed for stardom...
.
Here's the deal--I loved doing it and cannot wait to play with this app this summer. I will then take some video and be sure to add voiceover and sound. Soooooo...Puhleeeease tell 'em not to take the iPad away--I promise to be more advanced (not only in age, but also in filmmaking skills) by this fall!
